Computers in Homes

Computers In Homes has been associated with Remarkit Solutions since mid-2003 when their service was highly recommended to us. Our scheme provides opportunities for low-income families to access information technology and training previously unavailable to them. Using recycled PC’s has meant we can introduce more families to the world of computing and connect them to the Internet, for a fraction of the cost of new ICT equipment. This has meant our CIH budgets go further and we produce higher outcomes by reaching greater numbers of families in low decile school communities.

As people’s imaginations are caught by the concept of the recycled computer scheme, there are more people willing to contribute in many different ways. Individuals and organisations concerned with environmental issues are able to donate their second hand computers for recycling and refurbishment rather then sell them or throw them away.                                   

Remarkit Solutions is our newest supplier and has been responsible for higher specifications for best value for more recent projects and upgrades in the Wellington region. One school was so impressed with the service provided by Tim Findlay, that they also contracted the company as their service agent for their school machines.

The company appears to have a philosophy  of strong ethical and social responsibility, which has made them a valued partner and sponsor to Computers In Homes.
